Private Lessons Scotch Plains Music Center has been offering private instruction on musical
instruments since 1969 under the direction of Greg and Mary Ellen Natic.
Music education can be of the most enjoyable experiences of a child's
education. For the adult, it can satisfy a long time desire to play the
instrument of his or her choice. Individual attention is the primary focus of our collective instructive
philosophy. The age, capabilities, musical interests and background are
all taken into consideration with each and every student. We offer instruction on piano, accordion, synthesizer, guitar, bass,
clarinet, flute and saxophone. If we do not teach a specific instrument
we will be more than happy to refer you to competent local instructors. Our rates are $26.00 per lesson paid monthy on the first of the month.
This is a flat rate system any missed lesson will not be made up. The
studio will be closed on the following holidays: New Years Day - Memorial
Day- July 4 - Labor Day - Thanksgiving Day - Christmas Day. Our teachers have a sincere interest in the instruction of each student.
Our students range from the six or seven year old beginner to the professional
musician who wishes to further his of her playing ability. Our approach
is to give each student a basic knowledge of reading music, theory, harmony,
ear training and technique. The lessons are then geared towards the students
own personal interest in musical styles whether it be Classical, Popular,
Folk, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Fusion, Marching Band, or All State preparation. Our instructors are fully qualified music teachers and are full time
professional musicians. Many have music and/or teaching degrees of various
levels and all have ample experience in thier field. We encourage approximately 30 minutes practice each day. Musical ability
depends on both quality instruction and thorough pratice. For the student without an instrument we offer a RENTAL-PURCHASE
program on most instruments. This program enables the students to begin
studying with a minimal investment. |
